Who is it for?
This course is designed for all those who wish to:
- Grow in their Christian Faith
- Train for ministry in their local Church
- Gain an undergraduate qualification from the University of Oxford in Theology
Why Study at Wycliffe?
Wycliffe's part-time courses offer a unique opportunity to study at the University of Oxford and receive an University of Oxford qualification whilst also being taught by leading theologians who are firmly committed to the Christian faith.
What are the Options?
This course is designed for those who are in full time employment and would like to improve their theological training but don't have the time to commit to full time study. Many of our students on the part time course work in busy professional contexts, have a real desire to improve their theological knowledge, and want to study at an academically respected institution committed to the Christian faith.
What will I study?
You will be taught in a class setting and be asked to write assignments in all of the following areas:
- Old and New Testaments
- Church History and Christian Doctrine
- Hermeneutics and Preaching
- Christian Witness in the Contemporary World
- Mission and Ministry
- Christian Ethics and Worship
What Qualification will I receive?
You will achieve an Undergraduate Certificate in Theological Studies (CTS) from the University of Oxford (Oxford University Department for Continuing Education).
How long will it take?
The CTS takes two years to complete under both the mixed mode and part time course streams. If you were to study it full time it would take one year to complete.
