Vacancy for Director of Ministerial Training

Wycliffe Hall, an Anglican Evangelical College and Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford, is seeking to appoint a Director of Ministerial Training, a key role within the Hall’s vibrant community. The appointee will be an Ordained Anglican with responsibility for the Hall’s delivery of teaching and training of Preaching, Evangelism, and Leadership, and oversight of the School of Preaching.

Reporting to the Principal of Wycliffe Hall, the Director of Ministerial Training will inspire students to become well equipped Gospel ministers by modelling best practice based on their credible ministry experience. A member of the Senior Management Team, the Director will champion the best Christian Ministry training across the Hall, overseeing the teaching of all the core Ministry and Mission topics.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to teach practical skills to a varied, dedicated and lively group of students, and is ideal for a candidate looking to enthuse and inspire students to communicate the Gospel convincingly in the 21st Century. A tertiary level qualification is essential; experience in Preaching, Evangelism, or Christian Leadership is essential; a doctorate, along with skills and experience in teaching and tuition, is desirable.
