Postgraduate Diploma in Theology
This is an Oxford University diploma designed for those with a first degree in another discipline, who wish to study academic theology at degree level. Admission normally requires an upper second class degree. The course is also suitable for those who have completed a full course in theology at degree level but have not received a degree (e.g. some older certificate and diploma courses).
Course Structure
3 (or optionally more) papers selected from:
- Old Testament (x 2)
- New Testament (x 2)
- Christian Doctrine
- Christian Life and Thought in 19th Century Europe
- Christian Moral Reasoning
- World Religions (Uislam, Buddhism or Hinduism)
- Philosophy of Religions
Of the above, one must be New Testament and another either Old Testament or Christian Doctrine. The Diploma is assessed by exam.
