Ministerial Courses for Theology Graduates

Wycliffe offers several 2-year options for students who already have an academic theology degree. All are excellent courses, and provide very good training for ministry in the Church of England and elsewhere. In any case, much of the theological teaching and ministerial training is the same for all students, regardless of which course they take. Wycliffe Hall may recommend a specific course or leave students the choice. Most take the MTh or the ODMTG.

The Master of Theology in Applied Theology (MTh) is a demanding academic course, requiring a good first degree for entry and advanced study in college.

The Oxford Diploma in Ministry for Theology Graduates (ODMTG) is a more flexible non-university course, offering a wider variety of topics and more time for other aspects of ministerial formation.

The Certificate for Theology Graduates (CTG) lies somewhere between the two above: it has lower entry requirements and more flexibility than the MTh, but also leads to a university qualification.
